Intakes (February 2008)
After an expansive interview process, John XXIII
College will determine its student intake for the 2008 academic
year by January 18.
Due to the significant demand for student accommodation
at the ANU and at John XXIII College, an interview
process occurs
for all students applying to the College in order
to determine the suitability of a prospective student to join
the John
XXIII
College community.
Interviews will be conducted for the 2008 student intake
in the second week of December in Sydney, Melbourne and
Canberra. Please contact the College Reception closer to December for exact dates, times and
interview locations. Those unavailable for interview on
these dates may be interviewed later, but preference will
be given generally to those earlier applicants. Applicants
from Queensland, Tasmania, Western Australia, South Australia
and Northern Territory may either be interviewed in their
state capital or via phone depending on the number of applications.
International students are admitted generally by a quota
system (approx. 20%), and will be selected on the basis
of references and through a telephone interview.
In order to forge strong links between schools throughout
Australia and John XXIII College, incoming residents are urged
to bring a crest from their school to present to the college.
These will be displayed in a prominent place within the college
and will serve as a reminder to students of the school which
prepared them for university life.
For further information on applying to
the College, please see the 'How
to apply' section of the
'Prospective
Residents' area of this site.
