Medical Insurance: Residents are to ensure their personal health insurance operates in the ACT and if not to inquire after a local provider. Residents should further note that the College does not provide ambulance insurance and that Residents will need to organise their own cover.
If a Resident requires an ambulance he/she is liable for the cost of that ambulance visit. Residents must be clear that in medical emergencies, all College Staff, SRs and Night Porter are instructed to contact the ambulance to arrange urgent transport for the injured/sick person. The cost for the ambulance attendance accrues in the sick/injured person’s name.
