Ben moved into John XXIII College in 1988 and was elected President of the Residents Association Committee in 1990. He was also a member of the RA Committee in 1989 and 1991. Ben graduated from ANU with a BA degree, majoring in political science and history. He went on to study at Southern Cross University where he secured his LLB. In January 2013, he was awarded Outstanding Alumnus of the Year by Southern Cross University.


Ben currently works as a lawyer in Sydney, specialising in banking and finance law, mainly in-house roles at global investment banks.
