Lauran moved to Johns in 2015 and left in 2017. In her first year she was nominated as the First Year Rep. In 2016 she was appointed as Art Rep and then in her final year of living at the College, appointed as RA President.

Lauran graduated from ANU with Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Arts (majoring in gender, sexuality, and cultural studies).

Her time at the College, and the passion as RA president was to enhance and improve the experience at Johns to be one that is for ALL students. As RA President together with the Johns student leadership team, their overarching mantra for change was “if not us, then who, and if not now, then when, and so collectively the drive was to be the change we wished to see in the internal Johns culture“.

Lauran worked in a number of Community Legal Centers around ACT before becoming the Associate to Judge Mansfield at the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia.
