Terry is a 1984 alumna of John XXIII College.

Terry graduated from ANU in 1987 with a BA degree, majoring in history, politics, and law. He was fortunate to complete his degree at UC Santa Barbara while on an exchange scholarship program.

Terry is a policy consultant for health and social policy, and does talks (TV, radio and podcasts) and also writes articles on political and policy matters. He is also a part-time fellow with UK policy think-tank and was also a member of the Institute of Economic Affairs.
